3-202 Cultural Aspects of Practice in Diverse Tribal Communities (child and family teams)
(3-202)

Key Concepts: In this module, Effective Services for Tribal Communities, we will focus on the key areas that child and family team members should consider when working with American Indian youth and their families. The major goal of this training session is to provide practical information that will assist child and family team members in the development of skills to work within American Indian communities, families, and with individuals. This is not a guide to work with American Indians as there is incredible diversity between tribes and within tribes, as well as diversity based on geographical residence. Our hope is to provide trainees with some general skills to assist American Indian youth with positive and healthy changes towards reaching their personal and families’ goals while learning ways to tailor their work to the specific community you serve.
